Logitech just acquired Jaybird for $50 million

Jaybird is an already poplar and successful brand in the wireless headphone space, especially amongst the more active lifestyles. Logitech could spend their own R&D to barge their way in too, or, they could just snap up Jaybird. Seems like a worthy investment of $50 million, no?

For now it appears Jaybird isn’t going to get disbanded and absorbed by the Logitech UE brand and will instead co-exist within Logitech as its own thing. That’s probably a good thing for now. Apple may be one of the first to get rid of the headphone jack but they certainly won’t be the last. Time to go full throttle with the whole post-headphone jack world, no?
