20121219-122141.jpgIf you’re a Boost Mobile customer who also likes to dine on copious amounts of mobile data, January 20th isn’t going to be a good day for you – well the days around January 20th to be exact. According to a new post on Boost Mobile’s Facebook Fan Page states that beginning “on or around 1/20/2013″, customers who use more than 2.5 GB will see their mobile broadband speeds reduced to “3G” speeds – a mere (and useless) 256 Kbps. Customers will be alerted once their monthly data usage hits 85% of the aforementioned 2.5 GB limit.

The changes to Boost Mobile follow changes also made to Sprint’s other mobile property, Virgin Mobile, earlier this year. Boost Mobile users: time to move?
